ROUND THREE - PERCHING
Perching is the art of forming perches and putting cards on them, and the concept is covered in detail in Xtreme Beginners. Last year people had trouble uncovering the difference between perching/briding/displays. To win this round, your routine needs to be flowing and smooth. No jamming cards into the deck/placing cards into the deck to make displays and so on... that is 3rd grade... it should be a flowing routine of putting in the cards and each step should have some nice moves/byplay.
Do some searching on previous GOOD perching videos if you need some help. Anyone can jam cards into the pack making a giant display of all kinds of sorts, but it takes an artist to form them artistically and to make it interesting and fun to watch. That is the toughest part of perching, and is why it is an advanced concept. Too advanced for most, but a few HLers have got it down. If you have never done perching, today is the day to start! It may come easy to some, and impossible to others. This is what separates the men from the boys... bring it on!

No one will cry about a few seconds here or there, but try to adhere to the time limit.
OBJECT TO SHOW
You must show a HL product of your choice somewhere in the video so we know that the video was made specifically for this tournament. And make it noticable that you are showing it (ie - a spade shirt, be sure to point it out or we'll think it could of been made before).
No additional objects except the box/card clip. You may use a table/chair if you choose to.
You MUST show your face somewhere in the video.
DECK REQUIREMENTS
Use any deck you like, and only one deck, normal or bridge sized.
DUE DATE
Videos are due on Sunday 7th of september 2008 - anytime on sunday GERMAN time! Which is normally 7-9 hours AHEAD of the U.S.
In these early rounds, there are no exceptions to the rule! Please make your deadlines! If you cannot submit a video, you will be automatically kicked out the tournament. If you feel you can't do a proper video, submit something and you will only lose the round.
UPLOADING YOUR VIDEO
Please don't upload your videos early! If you do, be sure to set it to private so no one can see them prior to the deadline. Or better yet, wait until the day before deadline...
